Giving back to the community is a foundational tenet in the ethos of Cloud9. We believe that it is our duty and privilege to support organizations and foundations that so incredibly enrich the lives of those they interact with. The partner we want to highlight today is the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club (SSWSC).
What is the SSWSC?
For over a century, the SSWSC has trained thousands of athletes and Olympians worldwide. With a focus on training and mentoring young athletes, the SSWSC has a long track record as a positive light in the Steamboat Springs community. Founded as a winter carnival committee in 1914, the SSWSC has stood the test of time for over a hundred years. Eventually becoming an educational nonprofit organization in 1957, the SSWSC continues to provide training and enrichment programs across a wide gamut of winter sports for the Steamboat community.
The SSWSC Foundation
Serving as the philanthropic arm of the SSWSC, the foundation raises funds and supports the SSWSC’s mission to provide the highest quality of athletic coaching and programming to its kids. Not only do foundation funds contribute toward maintenance and upgrades of vital facilities and equipment, but it also serves to provide scholarships for qualified families who may not be able to participate in sports with the complex otherwise.
